I am happily married to a wonderful supportive man, who loves me thru thick and thin, lol, and a mom of 2 beautiful daughters. I have been obese since I have been about 10. In 2005, I decided to have the lap band placed. I felt reborn after losing 75 pounds, down to my all time low of 185. But, here is where the problems began. My first prolapse was surgically repaired in 9 months after the band was placed. Then the second prolapse happened 6 weeks later and I had it removed. That was 12/2005. Now, almost 2 years later, I have regained virtually all of my weight. I feel defeated and devastated. My diabetes, in remission after the weight loss, is back with a vengence. So, I am taking hold of my life and am planning a revision to RNY.
I have a date - January 21, 2008!!! And insurance aproval.........so from the first meeting with my surgeon, 10/28 to my surgery date is less than 3 months, very happy with the timeline!
