Hi everyone, I am home safe and sound....I have to say that the first two days were the hardest! I had sooooo much back pain post op. I had to be at the hospital by 11:15am and sat in the waiting room till 1:00. 1:00 is when my surgery was scheduled for but I was in the prep area till 6:00pm then I finally was taken to the OR. I was on my back so long that I guess it really played a role in all of the pain. My surgery was 3.5 hours and I was in my room around midnight. I was out of it most of the time the first 2 days but was in a great deal of pain. After that the pain subsided quite a bit and moving around became so much easier. The back is still a problem but I am working around it the best I can. I am 4 days post op and have not had any pain medication for over 24 hours and feeling pretty good. Still experiencing some dizziness and stomache cramping. I am on liquids at this point and can only tolerate very bland tasting things at this point. Everything seems so sweet! I do get some cramping after drinking I guess that is because I am drinking too fast. The gastragrafin stuff has caused diarrhea which is fun, once it hits you have to go! Dr said that will pass after a few days. Well, that is all for now, I will post everything else on my web page so check there for further updates...gota go lay down.

Hi Tammy! We were approved around the same time! I read your profile and we sound a lot a like! :) My original surgery date was 05-19 and that seemed so far away! I called them and said "Well, if you have anything sooner... reschedule me!" And they did! I am now having surgery 04-12 and that is right around the corner! AHHHHH I will let you know how things go! Best Wishes to you & Congratulations on your upcoming life change! :)
