I am a 38 yo female, happily married, mother of 3 great kids. I have a terrible family history. Many family members have died or had heart attacks at a very young age. There is also many members with diabetes. I have noticed in the last few years that I am just not able to keep up with my kids as well as I would like to. My husband and I have a wonderful relationship. We live to raise our kids to be strong, moral adults and make our family home a wonderful place. After nursing for a few years, being on my feet 100 percent of my shift, I changed jobs and am now in front of a computer, in a chair. The weight is climbing and climbing. So many of my friends have had RNY without any complications. They are doing great. So, I decided..why not look into it and see if it is something for me. My Dr. is great. He has done over 2000 of these surgeries so I am pretty confident in his skills. I am just not confident enough that I will be strong enough to go through with it. I am hoping to find strength in others that have gone through this surgery along with the strengh and support from my family and friends.
