Hi All,
My name is Allen and I am new to this site and very excited to meet new friends for support and comfort during my preparation for Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RGB) surgery. Although I am very excited im am very nervous. I have prayed for this day to come as well as prepared myself mentally and physically. After applying back on October 7th 2009, I was a heavy smoker for 8 years and immediatley quit because I did not want it to delay the healing process of my surgery or cause my surgery date to be pushed back. I decided after a two year decision and good family and friends later that my decision was the best one I have made in years. I have a great surgeon that has great and outstanding staff that are there to help whenever I call and that means alot to me. To me my new rebirthday will be soon 12/30/2009 and God will give me a new life and chance to better my health and the way I live. I will take that second chance and honor and love and respect my way of life more than ever. Here's to a new life, love and family! Thanks guys!
