Happy WLS Five Year Anniversary to ME!!

Aug 31, 2009

I cannot believe it has been five years.  Just does not seem possible.  I'm doing well, excersizing and eating the right amounts/kinds of foods (most of the time).  I have gained about 12 lbs.

I still stress about weight gain and watch the scale too closely.  I do use it as a tool, but still I'm a little (others would say a lot) obsessed about the numbers.

Luckily, I think my pouch is still small because I'm a still limited on how much I can eat.  I can eat half a sandwich (and can come back in an hour or so and finish the rest) at a time.

My exercise program is my best friend (I don't love it, but I know I need it).  I've joined 24 hour and do an awesome (very hard) step aeorbics class on Mondays, a lifting class on Tuesday, Thursday (free form if I make it, usually 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by crunches and topped off with weights) and a lifting class on Saturday.  I have found the classes work best for me because I have a tendency to want to leave too fast if left on my own.

I have no medical conditions or problems.

I am so grateful for this surgery and the changes I've made in my life.

My oldest daughter is getting married in a few weeks and I feel I look really nice in my dress.  I won't be ashamed or embarrassed and that is a wonderful feeling.
