Ok, so not so good....I finished up my  7 day steroid pack. No weight loss for week #2.  This SUCKS!!!

So trying to look on the brighterside of things:
I walked the 4 miles I set to do
I ate better (had one BAD day)
drank all my water everyday.

Next weeks goals:
1. walk 6 miles
2. drink my water
3. journal my food
4. stay focused and positive that I CAN do this

Even though TOM showed up early I felt like I did real well with my protein and carbs. However, this morning I feel like I weigh 500 lbs. Makes the day a little discouraging. Taking my steriods like a good girl even though I know they will probably result in a NO weight loss this week for me. UGH !!

Chin is in the UP position and I'm chugging along. I did get my 2 mile walk in yesterday and will do another on Monday morning.  I CAN DO THIS !!!

So I haven't got my exercise in yet but had a lot of housework to do. I decided to turn that into my workout today. Everytime I had to empty the dirty water I did arm lifts with the water weight and also on the return route with clean water. I did standing crutches while I pushed the shampooer (3 hours worth of shampooing this morning).  I also did squats while I weeded the flower bed and pulled weeds creeping up in the sidewalk cracks. And did extra long swings when sweeping the porch and sidewalk. Can we say lots of sweat !!!
So far day 2 of Bot week #2 going well....still worried about the steroids and no weight loss this week.

Weigh in day - BOT 1 week completed

So, first I have to say that I had already prepared myself for failure. I told myself if the scale didn't move I was trying something else. I did give it a very good go. By yesterday I was at the daily water intake suggested. I did have that slice of pizza Sunday night and not sure if I calculated everything correctly, BUT:

I LOST 4 POUNDS !!!   and I have to add that when I started last week I had been back on my meds and was not carrying fluid when I started. So the cankles that I brought home with me Monday also left. So super excited. Good job Lori...

Here we come week number 2.
Goals:
lose at least 2 lbs.
maintain my water intake
walk at least 4 miles this week

July 17th & 18th family reunion

Had a blast at my family reunion in Edinburg, Va.  Got to visit with my oldest brother whom I hadn't seen in 4 years (lives in Alabama)...Lots of food, but I think I did real good. I did have crabs on Saturday night (tons of sodium) made sure I got all my water in everyday. Limited my diet soda intake and ate veggies. I did have 1 bite of chocolate cake, 1 fork dip in choc icing, and last night I did have a slice of pizza.  Hope that didn't sink my weigh in on Wednesday.

July 16th food accountability

Well, I had a much better day. Although my calories were higher I did decrease the carbs by over 100 grams.
calories: 1496
protein: 126
carbs: 100
and I tripled my water intake.

Yeah me
Going away for the weekend so I'm sure it will be more of a struggle not having all my handy food with me. Family reunion on Sunday but will try to eat only veggies and the proteins.

OMG...this is why journaling is so important.
I decided to get back on track yesterday and was eating what I thought was good, smart choices. WAS I WRONG !!!
calories: 1,356
protein: 111 g.
carbs: 252 g.

My biggest mistake was being hungry and dinner and not planning. I grabbed a Smart Ones frozen meal (baked ziti) 47 carbs and only 14 proteins and 320 calories. That won't happen again. I did get my water intake goal met (starting slow).
I also had 2 peices of high fiber bread that totalled 26 carbs and only 6 protein. Will have to limit this or find bread with less carbs. I do enjoy my peanut butter on whole grain toast.

So today is a new day.  I will journal better to account for my carbs. I do love my carbs but as the saying goes:

NOTHING TASTE AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS !!!!!
