"I met with Dr. Monson for the first time June 2006. He is a very up front and honest doctor. We went through all the different types of surgery and he was very informative. rnHe gave me the pros and cons to each surgery and answered all my questions. He said he would write to my insurance company and try and get approval and that they would let me know. Only a week and a half later they already had a response......APPROVED!!!!! I was amazed and excited!!!! My BMI was at 40.2 so I just figured I'd have to try again even though I have several weight related health problems it seems they are never approved the first time. My surgery is in less than 2 weeks and I am excited and I have complete confidance in Dr. Monson. The staff and Dr. Monson are very informative and compassionate. Any questions I had they answered and have no problem if I call anytime with concerns. They have me on optifast for 2 weeks before the surgery so that the liver will shrink and the surgery is easier with less chance of complications. "
