Oh my! I am down 90 pounds, just got my cholesterol checked - went from 267 to 189! Got my diabetes checked - went down one whole point so I am NOWHERE near diabetic! I'm swimming 3 times a week and doing some strength owrkout at the same time. My knees are doing well - I can climb the stairs with no problem. I have energy, I can do stuff, I haven't had a bout of IBS since the surgery. I don't take lorazepam all the time to keep the anxiety down. This is Freaking Fabulous.

I saw a post from one of my buddies and he's way below his goal. My goal was 230 and I'm 226 now. I'm still scared to death I'll take up old habits and start gaining. I can't quite let go of old clothes becuase I'm sure I'll be one of the 20% who fail and gain back their weight. But sheesh! I hope not.

My husband remarked that he feels like he's having an affair because my body has changed so much! Boy, is sex better. He's my workout buddy so has lost weight as well and gained muscle and stamina.

Of course, my bipolar problem is not gone and I do still struggle with that. But I feel sooooooo much better!

I wouldn't suggest this surgery to someone who was just overweight. It is too hard on the body. But for someone like me whose BMI was close to 50, this is the shit!

I am so thankful and hope I can keep it up.
