My first impression of Mrs.Leverton was nice because she came in with a smile and her great concerns with my weight problem. My impressions didn't change has the time went by as she explained the procedures to me she was very generous to me and the to all the questions i had asked she answered promptly with no hesitate shes a really nice lady i hope i'll be seeing her soon again.

Dr. Leverton was very quiet and soft-spoken. She is very thorough with her information and made sure I knew she was open to questions and encouraged me to talk and discuss concerns. I had researched extensively and discussed with my regular doctor who is very supportive and so did not have lot of questions. Again, I had wanted to do this last year but my insurance was not covered by BTC so had to wait until this year. Dr. Leverton seems very nice and was cautious with my blood pressure and hypothyroidism. I appreciate the caution as my life will be in her hands for a while. She emphasized aftercare and the life change and the pro's/con's. I think she was very informative and open. They were extremely busy so we did not have an excess of time but I did not feel cheated in any way.

Dr. Leverton is very nice and helpful. She is cautious and careful with your health (very good thing in a doctor!). She did stress before and aftercare....goal is great health...better looks is just an additional perk! She did advise of all the risks of surgery. Time was brief after a long wait but she answered all my questions and was intersted in the research I had done prior to our meeting. I am scheduled to have surgery on 04/08/03! Yeah...will update post op.

My first impression of Dr. Leverton was extremely favorable. She was extremely soft spoken, thorough, and concerned. When I first seen her I thought "Oh my goodness she's so young, I wonder if she has enough experience?" But after a long talk with her she more than reassured me that she was more than qualified. Her office staff was courteous and friendly. If anyone is ever thinking about having the surgery and a surgeon, I would definitely recommend Dr. Leverton at the BTC. She covered all aspects of the surgery pros and cons. Overall I am excited about having the surgery. I have my approval all is left is A DATE!!!!

Dr. Capps is very friendly and courteous. He spent more than adequate time with me describing the surgical process and follow up.
The office staff was very friendly for the most part. The medical assistants were very good, and the telephone staff was very polite and helpful. The receptionists could have been a little friendlier, but were ok.
Dr. Capps has an excellent follow up programs with regular visits and lab work for a year. A dietician is available at all times. All surgical procedures and risks were well explained. All in all, a very good experience.
OKAY. Dr. Capps is beginning to annoy me. My surgery was approved over 3 weeks ago and I still cannot get a date scheduled. The assistant in his office says "It's on his desk. All he has to do is sign it". If I hear that one more time, I will scream. # weeks should be long enough to sign some papers, especially since someone else put them all together for him! We are working around the C-Pap issue, so it has nothing to do with that....just a missing signature.
01/30/03 Well, I went for my pre-op testing yesterday. Lots of blood work, gall bladder sono, chest x-ray. Met with dietician and had a quick "physical". Was told my surgeon changed again, from Dr. Capps, to Dr. Wiltse, to Dr. Leverton now. Have not met her yet. One week to go!
02/07/03 4 days post-op. Doing good. Moderate pain. Dr. Leverton was great when I finally met her. Came to see me twice a day post-op. Addressed all needs promptly.

My consultation visit with Dr. Leverton was very pleasant and informative. My first impression of her was that she was very kind, soft-spoken, and concerned about me, I did not feel like another number or "just another fat person". Her office staff was eqally polite and concerned about my comfort. I am not yet aware of anything I did not like about Dr. Leverton or her staff personally, however I spent a considerable amount of time waiting both in the reception area and in the consultation room. Other than this one minor issue, I was very pleased with the surgeon and her staff, they were friendly, and took the time to make sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed.
The aftercare program seems to be very detailed, and Dr. Leverton and her staff were very up front and open with even the unpleasant points of this procedure.
At this time I would give Dr. Leverton and her staff a very high rating, and I am hoping that her surgical competence is unexcelled by her bedside manner.

Was very comfortable at first meeting.
She covered all info about surgery and aftercare. She wanted to be very sure I understood the surgery and was ready for the change in my life.
Due to insurance I have to repeat my consultation. But am looking forward to meeting with Dr. Leverton again.
The office staff seems confused at times but freindly.

Getting an appointment takes several weeks.
