Yep! I'm still here, and I'm healthy, still at goal (130), AND quit smoking about a month ago. Still using Commit lozenges, but have really been tapering off of them! Stuart is still smoking, but I swear to God his smoking doesn't make me want to smoke. How did I do this? I prayed and prayed, on and on to be released from this addiction. One day I just knew it was coming, so I smoked my last few cigs, bought some Commits, thanked God, and that was it, not one puff since and the Commits aren't really even necessary, but I've thrown in some sugarless candies and some real candies (hard ones), which are helping me realize that I just don't know what to do with my mouth. NO COMMENTS FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY (or the 
gallery)! OK, now I will dye my hair again, put on some make-up (after I clean the bottom of the bedroom closet), dress up for you and have Stuart take pics. Then I will try to download them and get them here. When all that happens, I will post about new pics!

So, let's see - Val was in the hospital about 2 weeks ago, I was being her angel, then I went into the hospital, so Becky took over us both as our angel. Val got out of the hospital last Thursday, I got out on Friday.
I came home to a half flooded apartment and a husband who was swollen to twice his size and he rushed off to urgent care. I stayed home with the service guys who vacuum up the water and then put in super loud fans for 3 days. Of course, we here in So. Cal. had a heatwave! It clocked about 100 degrees here, our window A/C decided it did not want to work. Monday night, we finally slept in our bedroom, and the heat was dispersing and we used our standup fan. Then Tuesday my computer fried, all gone!
I called my Mother crying, she said go buy another one and she'd pay for it. I had this one within 3 hours!
Then, today, about 45 minutes ago, Val calls me from a pharmacy where she's waiting for an Rx as she has fallen on broken sidewalk, been rushed to ER, spent 3-4 hours there, and is going home, will see her Dr. tomorrow!

Things are going pretty well. Only thing right now is a constipation issue and I'm working on that!
I will quit smoking this Sunday, I am prepared!
I lost another tooth yesterday. So I'm going to the dentist today to see about pulling all my teeth and getting false teeth. I really want this!
PS for BL/BA is scheduled for August 18th. But, after I find out about my teeth, I'm going to call my PS consultatant to see if I could move it up a month or 6 weeks. August is the hottest month and I don't want to be miserable!
Stuart is good, but both of our main Drs. have told him he needs to loss weight, that he's a time bomb!

So, I'm working on setting up my BL/BA. They're going to call me with a date for around mid-May. They said I could have it as early as mid-April, but I want the LBL to be completely comfy before I add more discomfort!I'm changing Dr.s for this. I do like my LBL, but I really liked the woman Dr. in La Jolla especially for breats. So, here I go again, got to get the money back from the other surgeons! Wish me luck!
All is well, that is all will be well when we get the jelly beans out of the house! Valentine's day and Easter, love the holidays, but there's so much candy around, and I didn't buy it!

I had the lower body lift yesterday, 2/19/08!! The surgeons said the BL/BA will be in about 10 weeks.I want to thank all of you for your kind wishes nd prayers.
Typing is difficult because of the Vicodin.

So, I contacted the PS's office and found out about hospital affiliations, I was wrong. I also went back to their site last night and refreshed my memory as to why I had picked them in the first place.
So, my bloodwork is on Feb. 6th and LBL on Feb. 19th. Then, after I am done with that and sufficiently recovered, I'll have the BL/BA surgery.
I feel much more confident now than I did when I had it booked last year!

O.K., made it through the holidays without gaining weight! Now we will return me to my normal programming!!! 
Going to the Dr. (GI) on Monday about possible ulcer and pain in the sygmoid area of my colon. I'm thinking that I'll due the cottage cheese pouch volume test, as soon as I get some cottage cheese! Just want to reassure myself.
Got a call today from the lady at the Recovery Retreat, she's put in the $500 credit to my card. Good, that part's over with, now I just need a $20 some thousand dollar check from the PS.!
I've got to check these PS surgeons again. If they haven't sent the check, I'm going to ask some questions, and see if I was wrong about them. But I'll be damned if I'm spending $500 for a night in a convertable bed when I've got one I sleep in every night! And DH will be with me, and I know what to watch for. And I live less than a mile from a major hospital, and about 10 miles from my favorite hospital.

Then I e-mailed the $500/per night Recovery Retreat and told them the same. This was 2 weeks ago Monday, the 12th. I spoke with them yesterday and they said they had just gotten my e-mail this Monday, and I would see it refunded on my credit card in a couple of weeks. I'm sure I'll see it in late December.
I found out that neither of the surgeons were affiliated with any hospitals, so if something went bad in surgery, they'd have an ambulance pick me up and take me to the nearest ER. Not me,
!!!So, I've contacted a surgeon who's affilated with my favorite hospital, waiting to hear about a consult. If nothing happens by the time I have the check back from the other PS, I'm calling the PS I first met and sending her a check to cover the abdominoplasty (table to table) with the breast implant removal, BL/BA. Hopefully she'll be able to get me in by Feb. Then I'll round up a little more money and send her the check for the posterior body lift.
Aside from that, I'm waiting to hear from my GI Dr. for a date for an endoscopy, think I have another ulcer. My PCP doubled my Protonix and gave me some Vicodin. I just have to be careful. I think I'll call him Friday and ask him what else I can use to help coat my stomach.
Still haven't worked out yet! On the 13th of Jan. I'll be 18 months out!

Need to keep stepping back from the sugar, I don't need to start on that slippery slope!
I'm considering getting my hair cut, not super short, but maybe some more bangs to hide where my hairline is receeding! LOL No, really!
I need to have DH take some pics of me as an update for here! Try to do that on Sunday!

So, our Becky is home, Sally seems to be doing great on her weightloss, Pinealope is getting PS, Michelle is getting PS on Tuesday, Sarah is still fighting the good fight (we all know she'll get insurance to cover her arms, it's just what she'll have to go through to get it, she may end up being a groundbreaker for others!), Amy's very frustrated and who wouldn't be, Val had a good day today, even got hit on! Renee keeps hanging in there, bless her! Haven't heard anything new on kath b., hope all is healing right! If I forgot anyone, sorry!
So, I'm going to go to bland food, lots of decaf tea, and Crystal Light, basically a inside body wash for labs, then the same before surgery, but with super lots of protein. And yes, I'm taking my vitamin C and Zinc!
